OUR LADY OF FATIMA VISITS GENERALATE COMPOUND

The ringing of bells announced the arrival of our Lady of Fatima in the Generalate compound on Friday afternoon, March 11, 2006. Our Lady was warmly welcomed by the Sisters, Lay Visitors and other Sisters from around Manila as She visited the 9 communities in a procession which started in Betania Retreat House and ended in the Generalate. Then she was brought to the main chapel.

The statue of our Lady of Fatima is owned by Mr. Jeffrey Campos, a devotee of our Lady and Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo. He brought the statue from Portugal, had it blessed in the Manila Cathedral and stationed her in Unilab, Inc. He dreams of bringing her around the Philippines.

The Sisters in Bagumbong, led by S. Ma. Gloria Ross, together with Mr. Campos, accompanied our Lady in her visit to the Sisters. A Eucharistic vigil- mystic Rosary Hour in honor of the Blessed Sacrament which was exposed at 5:00 p.m, was recited with special intentions for peace, unity and reconciliation in our beloved country and for the beatification of our Mother Foundress. The Eucharistic Celebration followed, officiated by Fr. Andres, OMI.

The following day, Saturday, the Blessed Sacrament was again exposed at 9 in the morning and the Eucharistic Vigil- Mystic Rosary was prayed for the intention of peace, unity and reconciliation in our country. This was followed by the Eucharistic celebration officiated by Fr. Patrick Casiño, MSP .In the afternoon the Sisters and Lay visitors had healing by “radiation.” They were all one in saying that they felt Sto. Niño’s touch through the intercession of our Lady of Fatima and Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo.

All thanked our Lady as once again she went around the compound before she bade farewell. Adieu, beloved Mother! We all love you!
