School Year 1993 -1994
The community is composed of three Sisters. Sister Ma. Luz Britanico, her first year, is the school librarian, in-charge of the Catechetics, MIC and the Reach-out program. Sister Ma. Remedies Maglinte, RVM, her 6th year, is the cashier, dean of discipline and in-charge of the maintenance and the auxiliaries. Sister Ma. Francisca B. Lalic, RVM, her 6th year, is the superior-principal, CL teacher, moderator of the Alumni organization and vocation promoter.
Truly the Sisters are the living witness of Mother Foundress in her observance of the vows. The community is provided with recent publication of books for spiritual reading and personal reading. For confession, the Sisters take the opportunity to confess when they are in Cebu or TaclobanCity or to go to Salcedo for the same purpose. The community members have their strengths and weaknesses and each is recognized for the growth of the Sisters, the community and the apostolate. Most of the tools for the spiritual growth are used if not but majority of these are observed.
Seminarians from the local seminary, promoters from other Orders such as the SVD, Redemptorist priests are the regular promoters who come to the school for vocation campaign. They are always welcome to see our students and teachers.
The main apostolate of the community is education. The community and the school reach the Elementary School children through catechists. A poor barangay has been visited several times with some of the students and the Sister in-charge of the reach-out.
There is a cordial interaction with the Bishop of the place and so with the other priests. The Sisters have to adjust to the time of the priest for the Liturgy.
The cause of Mother Foundress is always prayed after the Mass everyday and during the Rosary. Members attend cluster meeting in Borongan.
The Sisters’ convent has a new face lift. The ceiling is painted with white and the front view of the second floor is vanished with dark shade. Just enough and not too attractive to the eyes. Railing is placed in the open space between the ceiling and the wall and varnished also.
The Sisters take charge of the Pilgrim Madonna. She is brought to the families who would like to be visited by the Madonna. She is brought back to the convent every end of the month.
