     Admission

    Admission to St. Mary’s College is granted to any individual who has completed a secondary level program; however, the school reserves the right at anytime, to refuse, o admit and not to readmit, a student under certain conditions. 

     Non-Admission/Readmission

    A student may be refused admission/re-admission on the following grounds;

  • Failure to comply with the requirements set by the school;
  • Violation of school rules and regulations;
  • Serving suspension terms in other school or conviction in any criminal offense even during the pending of an appeal;
  • Old students with more than two (2) failing marks in their last semester;
  • Probationary students who did not make any academic improvement within that period;
  • Those who make false statements in their application for admission;
  • Continuous poor health; and
  • Disciplinary problems and undesirable behavior.

 NEW STUDENTS AND TRANSFEREES

PRE-ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • See the Guidance Counselor for pre-admission requirements.
  • Pay to the Cashier for Entrance Exam.
  • Take the exam in the Guidance Testing Room and wait for the result.
  • See the Guidance Counselor for interview and secure admission slip.

ENROLLMENT PROPER

  • Present admission slip to the Program Chair and secure plotting from and subjects to be enrolled.
  • Plot subjects to be enrolled and have it signed by the Program chair. (Note: For male students: enroll ROTC)
  • Submit credentials and present properly filled-up plotting from to the Registrar’s Office for verification and secure assessment.
  • Proceed to the Cashier’s Office for payment.
  • Submit fully signed registration form and plotting form to the Registrar’s Office.

 OLD STUDENTS AND RETURNEES

  • Secure clearance, evaluation (subjects to be enrolled) and plotting form from the program Chair.
  • Plot subjects to be enrolled and have it signed by the Program Chair. (Note: For male students: enroll ROTC)
  • Submit credentials and present properly filled-up plotting form to the Registrar’s Office for verification and secure registration form.
  • Fill up registration form with all the pertinent data and have your subjects loaded in the computer and secure assessment.
  • Proceed to the Cashier’s Office for payment.
  • Submit fully signed Registration Form and Plotting Form to the Registrar’s Office.
  • Have your I.D. validated.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

 

NEW STUDENTS

  • High School Report Card
  • Original Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate for Married Students
  • Certificate of good Moral Character
  • Passing Result of SMC Placement Test
  • Two (2) 2x2 Pictures

TRANSFEREES

  • Honorable Dismissal
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Informative Copy of Transcript of Records
  • Marriage Certificate for Married Students
  • Passing Result of SMC Placement Test
  • Two (2) 2x2 Pictures

CROSS ENROLLEES

  • Cross enrollment permit from the home school
  • Approval of the Dean of College and the Registrar

OLD STUDENTS

    Those previously enrolled in the college either in the immediate preceding semester or after having stopped without enrolling elsewhere.

  • Grades of the subject taken secured from the registrar’s office
  • Clearance from the Program Chair.
