INSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES

To attain these objectives St. Mary’s College aims to:

  • Provide opportunities to experience Christ as a person in the celebrations and teachings of the Church and in the intra-interpersonal relationship.
  • Develop competence for academic excellence through academic and co-curricular programs.
  • Provide opportunities for the social, spiritual, psychological, physical and moral aspects of the person.
  • Develop a program of exposure/immersion in community outreach thereby providing opportunities for awareness and involvement in the academic community.

DEPARTMENTAL OBJECTIVES

    The College Department of St. Mary’s College receptive to the advancement and responsive to the challenges of the new millennium seeks to:

  • Develop and strengthen student in an integral and holistic Christian formation, rooted and nourished by the word of God with Mary as Model and exemplified by Mother Ignacia, attuned and responsive to the contemporary challenges imbued with a love of preference for the poor.
  • Provide the students with the necessary academic environment and opportunities in line with modern technology in order to achieve academic excellence and promote global competitiveness, enhance their capacity for analytical, critical and synthetic thinking and harness their leadership qualities for the advancement of human life.
  • Produce graduates who are critically aware of , deeply rooted in and appreciative of our cultural, social heritage and committed to its preservation.
  • Foster in the students the value of protection and conservation of the environment in order to achieve a balanced ecosystem.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

AB Philosophy Program

    The AB Philosophy Program aims to produce graduates who have achieved academic excellence, appreciation for arts, zeal for the quest of truth and love of wisdom by harnessing their capacity for logical, analytical, critical synthetic thinking base don the principles of Christian education and imbued with the gospel values, in order to equip them with the suitable and necessary knowledge geared towards the challenges of human life and service for the poor.

Computer Science Program

    The Computer Science Program aims to produce computer professionals, academicians, and entrepreneurs who embody Christian values, competence and skills in I.T. and quality consciousness; equip graduates to become leaders for technological advancement in industry, academe and progressive, relevant and well-rounded academic programs through the availability of vast and extensive resources.

Commerce Program

    The commerce Program aims to produce graduates whose intellectual capacities and technical skills are fully developed and imbued with Christian values and principles in order to generate new knowledge in business and industry through research, analysis and training in order to meet the needs of contemporary society.  It further aims to develop and strengthen the leadership qualities in order to respond to the needs of a technologically advanced and highly competitive business world.

Education program

    The Education Program aims to develop graduates who have received a holistic formation that will prepare them to be effective, efficient and dynamic educators concerned with the needs of their clientele as they promote and facilitate teaching-learning process; equipped with technology-based teaching skills and strategies geared toward the attainment of high level of professionalism, full understanding of human person, social, cultural and spiritual values and be committed to the preservation  and protection of Mother Earth.

Computer Secretarial Program

    The computer Secretarial Program aims to develop a versatile person who is articulate and who possesses the necessary skills and Christian values for efficient office management.
